Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 July 2026
These terms govern your use of the MBITGROUP website and, where applicable, your engagement of our IT support and related services. By using this website, submitting an enquiry, booking a consultation, or entering into a service agreement with us, you agree to these terms.
1. About us
MBITGROUP provides IT support and related technology services to businesses, primarily in Heckmondwike and West Yorkshire, with remote support available more widely. Contact details are published on our contact page.
2. Website use
- You may use this site for lawful purposes only
- You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers, or related systems
- Content on this site is provided for general information and may change without notice
- We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components
3. Services and pricing
Descriptions of services and prices on this website are indicative. Fixed quotes are confirmed in writing before chargeable work begins. Quote-based services are priced after we have assessed your requirements.
Managed support and ongoing services may be governed by a separate written agreement, statement of work, or order form. Where there is a conflict between these website terms and a signed service agreement, the signed agreement prevails for that engagement.
4. Consultations and bookings
- Consultation bookings made through this site are free and non-binding unless we agree otherwise in writing
- You agree to provide accurate contact details so we can confirm and remind you of the appointment
- You may cancel or reschedule using the link in your confirmation email, subject to availability
- We may cancel or reschedule appointments for operational reasons and will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable
- Failure to attend without notice may affect our willingness to offer further free consultations
5. Enquiries
Submitting a contact or quote form does not create a contract for services. We will use the information you provide to respond and, if appropriate, to prepare a proposal. We aim to reply within one business day but do not guarantee response times.
6. Client responsibilities
Where you engage us for services, you agree to:
- Provide timely access, information, and decisions reasonably required for the work
- Ensure you have authority to instruct us in relation to systems and data involved
- Maintain appropriate backups unless we have expressly agreed to provide them
- Pay invoices in accordance with the agreed payment terms
7. Intellectual property
Website content, branding, and materials published by MBITGROUP remain our property (or that of our licensors) unless otherwise agreed in writing. You may not copy or reuse site content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
Deliverables created specifically for a client under a paid engagement are handled as set out in the relevant service agreement.
8. Confidentiality
Each party will keep confidential information received from the other in connection with an enquiry or engagement reasonably confidential, except where disclosure is required by law or the information is already public through no fault of the receiving party.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
Subject to the above, to the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We exercise reasonable skill and care but do not warrant that any system, network, or service will be entirely free of faults, downtime, or security incidents
- We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or loss-of-profit damages arising from use of this website or from services, except as set out in a signed service agreement
- Our total liability arising from website use (as opposed to a paid service contract) is limited to £100
Liability for paid services is as stated in the applicable agreement; if none is stated, liability is limited to fees paid for the relevant services in the three months preceding the claim.
10. Third-party links
This site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices.
11. Privacy
How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. For ongoing paid engagements, material changes affecting that engagement will be communicated as required by the applicable agreement.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers (if any) may also benefit from mandatory local protections where applicable.
